Kchaba es el tercer disco de las Hijas del Sol, el más personal y el más maduro. Refleja un momento muy especial del dúo, abierto a un horizonte generoso, sin renunciar un ápice al pasado. Kchaba es una obra muy alegre y muy africana, a pesar de contener más canciones en castellano que ninguna otra. Se ha contado con un grupo de instrumentistas excepcionales y además, por fin, ecuato-guineanos: Pablo Tarifa, David Owono, Alex Ikot y Cheri Malé. El entendimiento entre ellos y el productor musical, Alberto Gambino, ha sido muy sólido, lo cual se refleja en el resultado final donde, a pesar de la variedad evidente de estilos, arreglos y lenguas, no se aprecia fisura alguna.
Primero quisieron sentar las bases tradicionales de su lugar de origen (Sibèba), luego se abrieron al continente africano (Kottó) y ahora campan libres por donde les apetece: Kchaba.
Tienen fuerzas sobradas para entrarle a un afro-beat, "Grito libre", divertirse con algo tan de su tierra como "Sibolo" o atacar una balada pop de la categoría de "El viajero".

Kchaba, their third recording , is a tribute to Afro-Pop legend Fela Kuti. In turning to the sounds of this rock star rooted in Africa traditions, they incorporate much more electrical instrumentation than previous recordings. None of this dilutes the impact that has continually placed their music on the European World Music charts. Kchaba is the third album by Hijas del Sol, the most personal and the the most mature. Kchaba reflects a very special moment in time for the duo who are looking out upon a very generous horizon without renounciong a single iota of the past. Kchaba is a very cheerful and African album, eventhough has more songs in Spanish than any other. Exceptional musicians has collaboratted in this last album, and finally, musicians from Equatorial Guinea like Pablo Tarifa, David Owono, Alex Ikot and Chery Malé. The compenetration between them and the musical producer, Alberto Gambino, has been very solid, which is reflected in the final result of the album eventhough there was an evident variety of styles, arregentments and languages.
First of all, they wanted to expose the traditional musical bases of their region of origin (Sibèba), later, they oppened up to others styles from the African continent (Kottó) and now they do as they please: Kchaba.
They even have enough energy to lay down an afro-beat on "Grito libre" or attack a solid pop ballad like "El viajero".
